The Roses were in full bloom.

"Rose Weekend is the crowning event for Elizabeth Park when the Rose Garden is in full bloom.
The Rose Garden features over 15,000 rose bushes and arches, which cover over two and one half acres. Words cannot describe the Rose Garden in full bloom, although “amazing” and “heavenly” come to mind."

Fun Run

The kids worked very hard to reach their goal of running three times a week, so it was time to celebrate! We started off with our guest speaker, Southington's Superintendent of Schools and avid runner, Dr. Erardi. After his inspirational words, we stretched, ran together, and received awards for our hard work. It was not about who was the fastest...it was about accomplishing a goal...making a commitment to better one's self through running. Remember we are, "getting fit today for a better tomorrow". I hope to see many of my runners at various Fun Runs this summer. Keep running and making healthy choices! Congratulations!

What an amazing show! The Children's Dance Theater Connection is a non-profit corporation based in greater Hartford, CT area. Part of its mission is to "train a company of young people between the ages of 5 and 18 in dance, acting, and theatrical production skills". The students are from New Britain as well as Southington.

The hard work and dedication of the show's volunteers and students gleamed throughout the room as they performed!
